Do I need to replace my panel or get a service upgrade for my EV charger?
Not always. We’ll assess your system and tell you if you need a 200A upgrade. Usually your panel only needs replacing if your service needs upgrading to 200 amps. 200 amp service requires a panel rated for 200 amps. Most existing panels have space to add the required 2-pole breaker.
How long does installation take?
Most home installations are completed within a few hours. Commercial installations may require a full day. Installation time is affected by many factors, but it usually takes less time than you may think.
Can I use my exising dryer outlet?
In some cases, yes, but generally no. We will find the safest long-term solution so you can charge worry free for years to come.
Are there rebates or financial help available for my EV charger installation?

Will you handle the electrical permit and ESA inspection?
Yes, we take care of everything. Symmetric Electric Ltd. is a fully licensed and insured electrical contractor (ECRA/ESA #7017720), so all work is done to code and includes ESA inspection. You will also receive a certificate of inspection which you may forward to your insurance provider.
